New Miami Citizen Folding Bike
…I want to ride my bike. It’s summer time! I keep seeing bicycle posts all over my Facebook news feed probably because RAGBRAI season back in Iowa. I’m not that much into biking but it did make me miss my bike so I decided to get a new one. It sucks that I had my helmet and gloves, etc but no bike.
My last purple bike I got for college in Florida, traveled with me to Iowa but did not make it back. I decided to donate it to the Dubuque Bike Co-op instead of trying to move back with it. Hopefully someone else will enjoy its purpleness when riding it.
Searching for a new bike was quite exasperating. I wanted something nice, comfortable, not too big, easy to travel with or store. I really liked the cruiser bikes I saw but they’re all huge and there were a lot of 1 speed ones available. I like having different gears so I have options when I ride my bike.
I don’t like way bike racks look on cars. Then I thought why not get a bike to fit inside the car and so my search for a folding bike began. I looked around online and decided to get a Miami Citizen 20 inch folding bike 🙂
It’s pretty cool that it can fold up and fit inside my car trunk. No ugly bike racks for me!
Miami bike has small tires but the frame fits adults. I love the bright blue color and the fenders so it won’t splash up water if it rains. It is less stable than a cruiser but can definitely zip around and maneuver well. It also has 6 speeds so I can go up the occasional hill in FL.
I like it so far, even JT is considering getting one for himself because of the portability of it. Looking forward to taking it with me on outdoor adventures.
